SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 9 AM – 12 Noon
All are welcome! Gather in the Parish House Auditorium for coffee and prayer.
Then join one of our 5 community service projects for the morning:
- Scarf Distribution in Portland – we’ll tie scarves (made by our Guiding RAY children!) to trees and lampposts for the homeless
- Sing-A-Long at Village Green Senior Living in Cumberland – to encourage and bless the residents
- Morning Chores at Milestone – help out with various needs at the Milestone emergency shelter on India Street
- Saint Mary’s Soup Delivery – bring pre-packaged soups to parishioners in the area with a note of encouragement
- Activity Bag Making – assemble children’s activity bags for the HeadStart program at Kennedy Park in Portland. The assembly will take place at Saint Mary’s.
We re-gather around 11:30 AM back in our Auditorium to share in Communion and lunch. Transportation for the projects will be coordinated. And the Nursery will be open all morning to care for the youngest ones among us.
If you cannot stay for all of the morning, then come for any part. All are welcome. This is a great event to invite a neighbor or someone who is interested in community service.
