Gratitude Progressive Dinner: Saturday, November 5, 6 PM start
This is harvest season. It is time to express our gratitude to God and to one another.
November is a good time to gather and be thankful and celebrate all that we have experienced as a parish! And Saint Mary’s chefs are the best in southern Maine, so why wouldn’t you participate? All you have to do is eat and talk. How hard is that?
How does it work?
We will all gather at the Parish House at 6:00 PM for a social time. At approximately 6:30, everyone will head off to their assigned homes for dinner, including directions. Attendees will be assigned to a host home for the entrée portion of the evening. Hosts will get their list of guests the week prior to the dinner. At 8:30, everyone will return to the Parish House for dessert!
Should I sign up?
There is a sign-up sheet for hosts and attendees. Contact Janet Bowne (firstname.lastname@example.org or 781-3844). Please indicate if you’d be interested in child care being offered in the Parish House from 6:00-9:30 p.m.
What can I bring?
Those who are not hosting the main course can contribute to the dinner, if you are able. Those with last names beginning with A-L, bring a simple appetizer to share at the social hour. Those with last names beginning with M-Z, bring a simple dessert to share after the main course.
Our parish mission is to build authentic, vibrant, Christ-centered community. This dinner is one way that we can contribute toward that mission.
