The Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Maine has sent out a Pastoral Letter which explains the lifting of the statutes of limitation for three years in any case involving sexual abuse against an adult by a member of our Church. Please remember that there is no statute of limitation for reporting such abuse against minors or vulnerable adults within our Church. The process for making a report of sexual abuse or misconduct is described in this letter. May God protect all people from any abuse or harm of any kind, and may the Church shine as a beacon of God’s love and mercy for all.
