Everyone needs to know what to do when a friend, neighbor or family member has suicidal thoughts. This is a situation that affects all humans, no matter who we are or what our situation. It is far more likely that you will speak with a friend struggling with thoughts of suicide than you will ever need to administer CPR. Why not be prepared to know how to respond and potentially save a life?
On Saturday 28 January from 2 to 6 PM here at Saint Mary’s, you can participate in a simple yet world-class training worskshop designed to give everyone the simple tools needed to respond well in such a situation. safeTALK is designed and administered by LivingWorks (see https://www.livingworks.net/safeTALK). The US Navy has provided safeTALK training for Fr Nathan and all of us get to benefit from this. The cost is $20 which will cover the cost of the materials you will receive in the worskshop. To register by January 23, reach out to Fr Nathan by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
