Preserving OUr Heritage Campaign Update

This campaign is more than a fundraising effort—it is an opportunity for our congregation to come together in faith and purpose.

Just as those who came before us built and cared for this church, we now have the privilege to strengthen it for the future. We are seeking to raise funds to fix the church roof and related water damage; renovate the Rectory by updating bathrooms, electrical wiring and HVAC systems; and to clean and refurbish our Casavant Fréres Tracker organ.

This campaign is important because it: Preserves Our Sacred Space: Our church building is both a place of worship and a symbol of God’s presence in our community. Caring for it ensures that it remains safe, welcoming, and inspiring for generations to come.

Supports Our Mission: By investing in our buildings, we strengthen the ministries that flow from them—worship, education, fellowship, and outreach. Our campaign enables us to serve not only our congregation but also the wider community.

Honors Our Heritage and Prepares for the Future: The faithful generosity of past generations made our life together possible. This campaign gives us the chance to build on our past, ensuring that the church continues to inspire hope, spirituality and faith.

Helps us Grow in Faith Together: A capital campaign is also a spiritual journey. It calls us to reflect on God’s blessings and invites us to respond with generosity, trust, and shared commitment.

We began fundraising in May following the completion of a feasibility study assessing our ability to raise the $2.3 million needed to complete the work. At press time, we’ve raised roughly half of the goal. We are grateful for those who made early pledges to the Heritage campaign. In the next few weeks, we will reach out to every member of the parish to share the specifics of the project and seek financial pledges for this effort.

We began work on the Rectory in June to have the work completed for the arrival of our new rector. The work on the church will start in January 2026. The organ work will be done after the church work is completed. The masonry work will stir up more dust and mortar. Once that work is done, the organ can be thoroughly cleaned and restored.

The Heritage Campaign is different from our annual pledge drive.

Annual pledging is critical to maintain the daily operations of the parish, covering expenses for utilities, salaries, insurance, the Diocesan assessment and our outreach work. As parishioners consider supporting the Heritage campaign, it’s important to keep annual giving steady.
