Heritage campaign Update
In the last month, we’ve seen big changes to the church building. The scaffolding on the wall facing Foreside Road has come off, and the windows on that wall have been uncovered. The Knowles team is focused on the other exterior walls repointing the mortar. Each section has been power washed. We anticipate the team from Heritage Roofing will be on campus soon to begin replacing the slate roof.
At press time, we are at the final days of our May fundraising challenge. An anonymous donor is matching, dollar for dollar, all gifts and pledges received in May up to $50,000. We thank everyone who has contributed to this match. We will have a final tally for the pledge match for the E-news on June 4th. Stay tuned!
We also welcomed Didier Grassin, President of Noack Organ Company, to Saint Mary’s in mid-May.
In addition to checking on the various sections of the organ and taking measurements on the organ, he and James Kennerley held an organ talk in the church
Roughly 50 parishioners were able to attend. James and Didier explained the work to be done. They also took a number of questions from the audience. Didier and James continued the conversation at a reception in the guild room. If you weren’t able to make the session and have questions about the plan for the organ, please ask James Kennerley, Father Greg or Janet Bowne for more information.
